Fall is Almost Here

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fall is just around the corner. I can't believe we only have one month of summer left. At least for some of us. The year is almost over. The end of the year will be here before we know it. It has been a very good summer so far. The beginning of summer we got lots of rain and the grass was growing like crazy. The cattle were very happy. The middle of summer turned a lot warmer and not all the rain and we had to start irrigating. But know we are getting the afternoon showers again and the cooler tempatures in the evening. Which is great for the cattle to finish. It has been a beautiful summer. Everything is so green and pretty.
Dusty and Rachel finally got married and it turned out to be a beautiful joyous day. We had lots of fun and a very busy couple of weeks. There was a lot of family we hadn't seen in a while come to town and it was so great to see them and spend time with all the family and friends. We had such a great time and Rachel has been a great addition to our family.
Grilling
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The grills have been fired up here all summer. We have been doing lots of grilling and the steaks and ribs have been wonderful. The hamburgers have turned out great. Garrett and I got a smoker this summer and have been doing a lot of experimenting and have really enjoyed smoking and grilling. We have been smoking a lot of beef riblets, brisket and lamb tenderloin and they have been so moist and great flavor.

We are going to be running the ribs, brisket and hamburger on sale this month so time to stock up for the last couple of months of grilling time.

Summer is almost over. I hope you all have had a wonderful summer. Things have been busy for all of us at GrassRoots. Allan and Lois are leaving the end of this month for Alaska for a week and are really looking forward to there vacation. A well deserved fun vacation they haven't had in years. So hurray for them. Garrett, the kids and I are going to be making deliveries and going to do some camping this month. We haven't had much time to enjoy the camping so we are going to try and get some in this month. Hunting season is just around the corner to so we have to get out to the mountains before they all get here and things get really busy for me again. I also want to say I am sorry for the delay in newsletters. Many blessings to all of you and I look forward to talking with you soon. Have a wonderful day and a wonderful month. Thank you all so much for your business and you patience.
