I am the person who talked with you this last Saturday at the Farmers Market here in Pagosa, the one who had the (other producer’s) beef that had been given as a gift. Well I just wanted to let you know the chuck roast I bought from you was really good. We had it tonight for dinner and what a difference – no feeding this meat to the dogs (just a few scraps). Just had to write you today after a great eating experience last night. I grilled the tenderloin steaks which I had never had before and WOW, all I can say is they literally melted in our mouth. My husband and I both agree that it was the best steak we’ve ever had. We can’t stop talking about it! I will be sure to keep my eye out for any specials you have on that in the future and I will totally take advantage! Anyway, just wanted to let you know how satisfied we were! Have a great evening. Ordering more meat today! But had to share…..I am by no means a “grassroots” mom…..I try to feed my family healthy food. Reality sets in when we are on the go and it’s easier to grab something quick. My house has it’s share of junk/convenience foods!!!! When I found your website I wasn’t out to change the way my family ate….just adding something I felt was much better for us. Well, last week I rented and watched the movie “Food Inc.”. Oh my word. I knew (in the back of my mind) this was the situation with our mass produced food. I cooked the tongue on Saturday (peeling it was yucky, but I managed to keep my imagination under control…) and it was good. I put the chuck roast in the slow cooker yesterday with minimal seasoning and it turned out great. I will continue to stock up at the Farmer’s Market so that by the end of the season I’ll have enough to get me through the winter. Thank you so much for offering to work with me. Thank you SO much for the contest, we will certainly be trying out the other recipes. I have to be honest, I was never very talented in the kitchen. In fact, not long after we were married Greg told me that not everything needs to be cooked on ‘high’, that’s why there was an adjustable knob. I thought the lower temp was for people who had more time to spend in the kitchen. Since we have been purchasing from you guys I have come to realize that maybe it wasn’t ALL my fault. It wasn’t me, it was the supermarket meat I was buying
